Do you ever struggle with finishing things? Do you ever struggle with the pain of procrastination? Do you ever feel like what YOU are doing is not good enough, especially when others around you are doing this differently?
I have too, and I have one thing to say:
Stay on your course.
Let me explain..
I know you see ad after ad, story after story, testimony after testimony about why you should stray from your path(and focus), to learn someone else’s way, to then receive someone else’s results. But, you’ve tried this…and how many times now?
How many times have you dropped everything to try a new method, only to find yourself 10% in and then just as confused as when you dropped the last method?
Many business owners and entrepreneurs are constantly changing the way they do everything in their business(like, daily); I have never known a single person that found success this way. Sure, there is a great deal you can learn from others, and by all means, learn all you can.
However, the more time you spend stepping away from your course, in hopes to find a “miracle ____________” the less clear, excited and focused you become. THIS is where the ugly monster called “burn-out” lives. (We also use these distractions as a CONSTANT source of procrastination as well)
“How this guy made 50k in 5 minutes” (You then find yourself watching a long video, downloading a “report” and trying 10 new things, taking focus off what may be working NOW.)
“How she made 50k after watching this ONE video”(Same)
“How this company increased profits by 50k learning this ONE strategy”(Same)
Here, you want a piece of free coaching advice I give ALL of my clients? “Where did your last 10 QUALITY sales come from? Focus there. Where did your last jolt of success and momentum come from? Focus there. Where did your last catalyst for inspiration or growth come from? Focus there. 9/10 times, it’s something you’re already doing, and something you’re (obviously) doing well at.
I am NOT saying that you cannot learn amazing things from the world’s experts – I myself have hired many of them to do huge things in my business. Just remember, all of those “headlines” represent the VERY tip of the iceberg.
(**And, we all know, if you try to go straight to the tip of the iceberg, it’s a fast, slippery slope back down to the bottom where you may actually NEED to be at in the first place.)
Imagine…maybe starting from the bottom and climbing the ladder IS the key.
If you want lasting success and fulfillment, start with what’s underneath the tip of the iceberg, rather than the tip itself. Determination, discipline, perseverance, consistency, tracking/numbers, strong and effective habits, a focus on service, productivity, delivering results, etc – playing “long ball”.
That “course” always leads to the top, or at least to a place where an effective pivot can be made to further your journey.
When you need something for your life or business, SEEK IT OUT, rather than let it seek YOU out. This allows you to truly stay on course because it means fine-tuning your path rather than always changing it.
There will always be another way, and that’s part of the problem.
Learn new systems/ideas/ways to fine-tune your path, but spend MORE time simply staying on it and giving it the focus/drive/attention/discipline it needs and deserves.
Yes, its a difficult balance to find sometimes, but give your persistent efforts time to cultivate and bear fruit.
Maybe you DO need a new system, but maybe you just need some minor pivots and more discipline in your habits. Maybe that “10 strategies to make a million” will help spur you on, or maybe some encouragement is all you need. Whatever it is, stay on our course, focus-in, and invest in the foundation of your trying to accomplish.
If any of this resonates with you…please keep reading:
I created a program for people who want to do exactly what this blog post is talking about, and for those who want real VISION for their lives…
For those who seek to DIAL in the areas they are already growing in. Its a program for people who want to examine what they are doing right now, and make pivots based on what’s already important to them, so they can begin to see better results without learning someone else’s new system.
Sure, you might think “Didn’t you just write a post about people who fall for these lame “x amount of days/ways/whatever to _____________”.
Yes, I did, but here’s the difference and my main point of this post even:
This program is for those who are already staying their course, but want to dial that course in even more, and sharpen the tools they are carrying.
And that is how you win.
This program will help you detox from junk that’s distracting and harming you…
It will help you gain massive clarity around the VISION you have for your life…
Help you dial in your path…
Help you learn how to make choices that are based on YOUR values…
How to master discipline…
…and so much more.
If any of that sounds good, check out Vision: 7 Days to Clarity
Thanks for reading.
Blessings to you and yours,
